Hey Dakka,
I am putting together a BT army and need some c&c on this list, please. I have not bought any of the models except the EC and Marshal, so changes are very easy to make. As the subject suggests, the main point of this list to throw tons of fire power into the enemy and then move in and clean up what is left with the Assault elements.
HQ:
Marshal w/ Adamantium Mantle, Terminator Honors, LC/SS - goes with Assalut Terminators
EC w/ AAC - Goes with 9 man Initiate Squad.
Elite:
Terminators w/ 2x CML, Tank Hunters - Land Raider w/ EA and Search Light
Assault Terminators w/ 3x LC, 2x TH/SS, Furious Charge - LRC w/ Smoke Launchers and Search Light
Troop:
Initiates x5 w/ Lascannon, Plasmagun, 3x Bolters
Initiates x5 w/ Lascannon, Plasmagun, 3x Bolters
Initiates x9 w/ PW, Meltagun, Frag Grenades, 7x BP/CCW - Drop Pod
Fast Attack:
Land Speeder Typhoon x2 w/ HB
Land Speeder Typhoon x2 w/ HB
Feedback is much appreciated!

Looks good in general. Running 2 LR's isn't a horrible idea, but I do have some general constructive criticism when looking at it. To address a few things:
-I have run squads out of DP for my BT and I really like it. However, one thing to realize is that since we do not have Drop Pod Assault our DPs are coming in like normal reserves. Mine typically are coming in around turn 3-4, which means having them with CCW/BP never really works. By that time you want them to either hold an objective or be shooting at somebody on one, I find that by the time you get them into melee the game is over and they have made no impact. Running the EC in the DP could make this even worse, as if it comes in turn 4 or 5 you now have wasted one of your HQs. I would suggest if you really really want to run them in a DP put the EC somewhere else, give them Bolters + Melta and a PF if you have extra points just to discourage assaults. Additionally you could switch them to a Rhino and have it run up with the LRC. However, i think there is a better option.
-Your CML Terminators are in a LR, and this kinda falls into a simliar position as the Initiate/EC squad above. I think the LR could be better utilized since the whole point of it is to be getting up in people's faces and dumping troops out. You have a shooty squad in a LR, and you have a melee squad in a DP. Consider switching those around? Have the Terminators come in via DP since they are naturally shooty (and you can give them Tank Hunter and drop behind some juicy targets that way). Additionally, this would let you put the assault oriented squad and the EC in the LR.
-If you really want to keep things the way you have them and with their transports, than my "at least" suggestion would be to run the EC with your Marshal. I know many people say not to do this, that you want to split up your power but I disagree. If you are fighting Orks and your Emperor's Champion pulls the Warboss into B2B, he is going to get mulched. This is true for Chaos Lords, Necron Overlords, etc. The EC sadly doesn't pack enough punch, giving a maximum of 4 wounds on the run in...you need something else to pump into the IC to kill him off. If you keep him with the Marshal, you can always use the Marshal to maintain coherency and as such be RIGHT next to the EC at all times. This allows you to place him also B2B with those bigger commanders that need the extra 1-2 attacks to take down. I think this would be MUCH better than running your EC in a Drop Pod.
Hope that helped some!

One last thing, if you think you will be fighting Nids/Eldar/Deldar consider getting blessed hull. For 25 points you can make your LRC near unstoppable to those armies.
Last last thing, is though this list will be competitive I will say that I find 5 man groups of Las/Plas in a Rhino to be an extremely boring Templars list. I have run them, and they work. I greatly enjoy my games though when I run a list that is more traditional to their style but harder to play. I never really feel like a Templar when I'm hiding in a Rhino using a Heavy Weapon (which Templars hate) and a Plasma Gun. Just doesn't suit their personality, but that is all up to how much you care about playing fluffy or if you are going for a Tournament. If you are casual, I would suggest trying out mass amounts of Crusaders in groups of 10 w/ Rhinos or bringing some Sword Brethren. They are not optimal, but they are much more fun.

Thanks for the feedback Farseer.
I like switching the Shooty Termies with the Initate DP squad. That way i could also drop the DP empty for contesting purposes. The initiates could go in the LR and hang back shooting lascannon shots and providing cover to the terminators and late game land grabs. I like the EC with the Marshal idea. Most people on here (dakka) say to avoid stacking your HQ's, but i like the idea of both IC's being in the same squad. It just makes your opponent split his attacks between 3 units instead of 2. Plus every model in that unit will have an invul save come CC. I mean, BT are zealous and all of course they would go for the overkill!

That is the spirit! And most of the time splitting HQs makes total sense...but taking into considering the EC special rule this could be labeled as an exception. Goodluck and happy building! Black Templars are really fun to build, and IMO a Chapter that has a good amount of character.

Well heres my advice of your making a assault based list (AACNMTO Vow):
Ur Marshal is awesome, i dont get TH but thats just me its an extra 10 points that on average will kill 1-2 models. Now idk what youve seen on dakka but i run my marshall and EC together all the time(normally in my shooty armies) and they are a powerhouse. take insta kill shots on the Marshal and reguar saves on the EC.
Im not partial about a hybrid list at 2k normally BT are good assault and great shooty army at 2k but hybrid its a stretch. My suggestion is you want shooty elements in you army you can take a Dread w/ Ven, LC,ML,TH for 100 points cheaper w/ in turn you can grab 3 more termies (if you shave 20 points somewhere). I know the popular load out people have been doing w/ their termies is the LC's Furious Charge w/ a few TH/SS. IMHO all TH/SS are way more of a threat compared to the popular load out thats just me alot of other people would argue w/ me. Also for your LRC&LR drop the smoke ull never use it. Your crusader squads if your gonna stay hybrid go:
Crusaders x 5
Crusader #1: LC
Crusader #2: PG
Crusader #3: Bolter
Crusader #4: Bolter
Crusader #5: BP, CCW
More wounds that way and if they get into assault you have a few xtra attacks. Your Assault crusader squads are best off w/ PF & MG in a rhino, as already stated our drop pods arent the same your guy will drop by ur enemys lines and die that turn. Get a rhino and drop the squad by one so you can fit the EC and Marshal in there. Your fast attack is pretty good onyl thing id change is add 2 more landspeeder typhoons. For your HS if you reli want LR's go for it but you can get 3 Vindicators w/ PotMS and EA for less that 2 LR's. Other than that the list is pretty good it would work as is but ur gonna need to play alot of games to learn the ins and outs of the list.
Anyways GL
