I'm thinking about buying a PS3 this week and I would like some advice please.

I'm only going to be getting the PS3 exclusive games at the moment, mainly the games from the following list:

Uncharted Trilogy.
Resistance Trilogy.
Infamous 1 and 2.
Heavenly Sword.
Heavy Rain.
Beyond: Two Souls.
Inversion.
Starhawk.

What sized HDD should I go for and is it worth getting one of the older PS3 that run PS2 games?

I'd go Resistance and Uncharted personally (out of that list).

Probably not unless you get a really good deal on it.

I'd go agree with LordofHats, but also add that Starhawk to the list of good exclusives, from the list given.

Well, Beyond:Two Souls has only just been announced, so you won't be able to get it for a while, and Inversion isn't a PS3 exclusive.
Out of the list, I'd recommend The Uncharted games and the Infamous Games, Resistance I haven't played, but they're by Insomniac and so are guaranteed to at least be good, if not brilliant.
I'd recommend adding the Ratchet & Clank games to the list, they're seen as "Kids games" quite a lot but they're incredibly fun, with a fair amount of change between the different games, and ridiculously over the top weaponry. (seriously, the most powerful weapon in "A Crack in Time" plays the 1812 overture when fired)

Ratchet and Clank is an awesome series of games - Not afraid of admitting that.

Well eventually I'm going to get that list of games, but ATM, I'm more concerned about the size of the HDD I should get.

I found a 60gb that plays PS2 games for £145, seems like a good deal.
