Canberra, Australia

I am a gamer living in Canberra in Australia. I used to live in Brisbane, and did a lot of wargaming (mostly Warhammer fantasy) and MtG, various board games, DnD etc.

Since moving to Canberra though I really dropped off as all my group of regulars and friends were in Brisbane.

Also Canberra really doesn't maken it easy to play - there is only a single Games Workshop which is on the other side of the city to me. I also only just discovered (after 5 years) that the Mind Games? in the City has an upstairs area where gaming happens!

So anyway I'm getting back into the hobby. I've setup a painting station, dug out all my old gear and brushes, paints etc.

I also backed the Mantic Kickstarter to get a fresh start - I used to play Lizardmen and Eldar and so much has changed since I used to play (5-8 years ago) that getting back into Warhammer is going to take time and effort. I figure having never played Mantic systems before (Kings of War) that this is a great way to get back in without any preconceived notions.

I'm also interested in if there are any rumours of when a new Lizardmen army book is going to be released. I don't want to get back in and buy a new one only to discover that within the year a new version is going to be released. That's another reason for getting into Mantic - they are only just releasing their new rules so I'm set for at least a few years before any major changes.

Anyway, so that's a brief look into my personal situation! I joined DakkaDakka as my searching on the net while deciding to get back into the hobby showed this forum as one of the big guns where I can hopefully find everything I need to know and discuss the main systems I'm interested in getting back into. Cheers!

Iron Warriors Army: Enyo Company
Enyo (Greek: Ενυώ, English translation: "warlike" in Greek mythology; Roman: Bellona), was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer in particular representing the two as the same goddess. As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities
