I know this will raise all hell because it dosn't go with the conventinal idea of a Melta only Mech armie but , I have configured my armie to have a Vet " Platoon " ( equvilent to modern standards ) mounted in Chimeras platoon would fall out as so

Chimera -- Auto cannon , Hull Heavy Bolter x2 Vehicals

Chimera-- Autocannon , Hull Heavy Flamer x1 Vehical

all Chimeras have Pintle Mounted Stormbolter ( i converted the Stubbers into autocannons )

Vet Squad ten man --- x2 Plasma Guns , Carapace Armor

Vet Squad Ten man ---x2 Plasma Guns , Carapace Armor

Vet Squad ten man -- x2 Plasma Guns , Carapace Armor + Primaris Pysker ( this unit rides in the flame Chimera)

now what im wondering is i advance on the enemy in this formation X X

do you think this is intellegant ? i have a foot platoon ( true codex platoon ) armed with Missile Launchers and x2 Leman Russ's provideing cover fire , suggestings

What do you mean Chimera has AC and two heavy bolters?

I'd build mine with a CCS or two, since orders work very well with vets on foot. Just sayin.

i would give the vets another plasma cannon and add a CCS with either meltas or plasmas, maybe add gunnery sergeant harker in as well

Harker and Bastonne are good, if expensive. Your platoon is already looking expensive, so why not? They make Vet platoons killy in interesting ways.
