Hello,


Has anyone had any experience with Dragon red from Army Painter?. I was just wondering how well it takes to the model, Will it need priming? If so what's colours best? Does it cover well?

Everything in this hobby needs priming. Except perhaps your brushes.

If its the Spray, then its a primer and base coat.

If its the Warpaints, then you need to use a primer.

i used the dragon red spray to prime my rhino... it works pretty good but you need to spray up close!

I used it on all my tanks.
It is really nice, when you don't have an airbrush. I primed the models black in advance. Coverage was pretty good. Do thin layers instead of one thick coat though.

There were primed with Dragon Red, then painted with Blood Red, Highlighted with Fiery Orange and dipped into Dark Tone Quickshade.


Looking to trade away 15mm Forged in Battle Pumas (still in the box).

It was a bit bright red for my taste to begin with, but I then tried priming black first, and light coats of the dragon red. I was happy with the results:
