As per title really. I was browsing here, and saw that all PDFs have been removed. This probably has to do with 6th Edition coming soon as well as the rumoured re-release of Imperial Armour 1, 2 and 3.

Likely yes. All sorts of new rules and USRs, as well as things like Hull points for vehicles.

Wild speculation, maybe, but still feeling burned by the shutting down of Warhammer Historicals.

Wild speculation indeed. They'll just have been taken down to be replaced with revised 6th edition-compliant versions.

Forgeworld is extremely profitable for GW, if anything I'd expect it to expand in the future.

There i fixed that for you :-), but really i'm sure its just 6h ed prep, but i do get the feeling we are in store for a price hike considering the increasingly small price difference between FW and reg GW products.
