I'm also fairly sure those aren't Docs and that this wasn't a "TV Appearance" so much as a taped interview. It was apparently released by his lawyer.

I hope you can see from the 2 different responses that the facts of the night are still very much in question. The only things that are indisputable are that George Zimmerman was the captain of a neighborhood watch, lived in an area that had several recent burglaries, decided Trayvon Martin looked suspicious (for what reason is in dispute), called 9/11 who told him they didn't need him to confront him, there was a confrontation of some type with a physical tussle, and he wound up shooting him point blank.
George Zimmerman had injuries that show some sort of cut on the back of his head and an alleged broken nose. He claims that Trayvon attacked him, and was bashing his head into the sidewalk, and he had no choice but to respond with deadly force. People who do not believe this sequence of events point out that Zimmerman was much heavier, was armed, and had been arrested previously (but the charges dropped) for assaulting someone.
The other significant controversy - the biggest one, probably - was the perceived lack of an actual investigation by the Sanford PD, who did not test him for drugs or alcohol; did not arrest him, and so on. The Sanford PD has had several other recent cases where they did little to no investigation of wrongdoing.
That's the most non-biased way I think it can be summed up.

Yep. Now you understand the conundrum. However it was first reported that a "white" person shot a "black" person (in Florida everyone is just a shade of tan). And certain interested parties used this as an excuse for publicity/money. And we're off to the races.

Actually per his story, Stand your ground is pretty irrelevant, except that it retains a presumption standard thats different. Amazingly, if someone attacked you and starts beating your head into the concrete, you have the absolute right to defend yourself.

Indeed, Stand Your Ground might best have been employed by TM. Instead of (allegedly) attacking GZ with his fists, he should have shot him to death instead - legally that was the best option.
