I'm just starting to get back into 40k and I'm interested in doing a drop-troop IG list. I could use the standard codex, but I think it would work better with the Elysian list from Imperial Armour 8. Are the IA lists generally allowed in Rogue Trader Tournaments? GTs? 'Ard Boyz/Gladiator?

Thanks!

IA lists are often not allowed in any major or mainstream event/GT/etc..

Among the major wargaming conventions out there, such as AdeptiCon, NOVA, and WargamesCon, most have side or parallel events/tournaments that allow IA units more liberally.

for starters

You can also check out events like DaBoyz GT, Feast of Blades, Bay Area Open, etc.; some or all may have some IA allowable component to them. It varies, and I can't personally speak for anything aside from NOVA.

Where are you located?

Showcase comics in PA is running monthly tournaments that allow IA.
