Hi there,

I dont know anything about orcs + gobbos but I have played as skaven and will try to help.

Firstly different armies do better at different point levels, perhaps playing at higher points might help even it out. You will probably have to get something new.

Cannons, fire magic/damage, high volume-low strength poison attacks, monsters and greatsweapons have done in my abominations in the past. I dont know what you have in your book but I'm sure some equivalents exists. Everyone can deploy some kind of monster surely. Soften him up at range and do the last wounds in combat.

Against his level 4 mage you want one of your own, dispel scroll and any other magical debuffs you can help to counter.

You have to try and play a direct counter to his 2 main units, once they are dead the rest will go easy.

My final peice of advice if to learn the rules as well as possible. When I first learnt to play I cheated horribly with my seer by lack of knowledge of the rules and it makes him alot stronger obviously.

Good luck

You've got the ruby ring on your Shaman which is pretty good. I would put the Flaming Banner in your unit of Big'Uns and wreck his abomb. Maybe a Rock Lobba or two to thin out his huge rat blocks.

Also, I would drop the spider riders and put light armor/shields and spears on your Wolf Riders. Both units really aren't much use except as redirectors since at 1000 points with 500 tied up in rare and lords he's not going to be fielding war machines and the like.

HW/Shields will make your gobbos stick around longer and Nets make them effectively T4.

I'm not sure what models you own, but I think wolf chariots are a good investment and war machines.
