Just a quick question in regards to the army thats next on the build list. What kind of trucks do I use for the squads? On the FoW website it says to use Kfz 70 trucks, but it isn't overly clear. Any advice?

Just my 2 cents

You can get Kfz 70 solid resin trucks. Check the german section out on battlefronts site. I think they are two to a blister.

I noticed those last time I was browsing. Do you know if they are the correct trucks for the unit though? I don't have the actual book, and the army list entry on easy army says 1.5ton, 3ton, kfz 70 and kfz 68 radio truck under the vehicle section. Does this mean I can use any of those for any given squad, or do they all have to be the same in the army

The Romanian section on the FoW webstore has Steyr Kfz 70 and Opel Blitz 3 ton trucks. IIRC if a squad has Kfz 70s then each team gets a truck but if there is only 1 truck per squad then it is an Opel Blitz. At least thats how it works in German lists.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I don't know why I didn't check there.... Oh well I guess. I'm thinking I'll do a mix of the 3 ton and Kfz 70's just to add some variety to the mix, On the brightside, I only have to get the Kfz's from battlefront, as I've got a bunch of the 3 ton opel trucks on order from zvezda

From a historical accuracy perspective it really wouldn't matter. IIRC it was common for the armies on the eastern front to use whatever was available to them. So it would be historically accurate to see Kfz 70s,but don't quote me on that. If you are still unsure pm Big P

Well, I decided to split the trucks in the units. When all is said and done there will be about an equal number of 3 tons and Kfz 70's. I honestly don't think I could manage having all of one kind. It gets a little too repetitive

You could also mix in captured Soviet and US (Lend-Lease) trucks if you wanted. iirc, the Romanians had a pre-war US truck factory (either Ford or Dodge) in the country, so they had some familiarity with the engines on US trucks.
