What space marine chapter is on the new white dwarf (WD390 July 2012)? Is it an ultramarine of sorts or another chapter? Thanks in advance for any info.

I've not seen it yet.. but I'd guess they used the cover of the new 40K rulebook, so it would be a Dark Angel.

i dont think its an ultramarine only cuss of the yellow white red shield pattern on the helmet and knees. not to mention the red bolter? I might be wrong.

I think that there is the symbol of the Ultramarines second company on his right shoulderpad. Plus, I believe that laurels are fairly common in Ultramarine heraldry.

Ultras have often used the red bolter. I think the symbols you are referring to are just campaign badges and laurels that the marine has earned (think Deathwatch like rewards).

No problem. Just saw a page from the BBB, the marine in question actually is in the middle of the Ultramarine page that describes the different companies of the Ultras. So, I'm 100% positive, that is an Ultramarine.
