Hola, I'm finishing up on a Panzer I style Leman Russ Annilator conversion right now and am wondering what sort of blast shield/armour to put around the main gun. The cloth cover thing that Chimera hull mounts seems like a neat idea seeing as my guard are desert based, but I can't seem to find any real world equivalents to these. Does anyone happen to know what their real name is and if possible who used them (I assume that they're WWII Africa Corps)?

....Yes, I can guess that the Germans probably didn't use these things, but neither did they have lLscannons or go about with purity seal festooned vehicles either. =D

I believe they're just called 'dust covers'.

This page has a few pictured, not on a panzer though:

XD Tah Dr Mathias, I don't need exact Panzer ones, just to know how the cloth folds and a general idea of how their fixed to the tank. It may be the case that their a cold war thing, seeing as most of the Guard tank designs are from that era. Still terrible to find anything online even when searching for tank dust cover images, but your expamples are fine.
