I'm talkin about Wraithguard all day long. How viable would this be now a days?

Or at least Wraithguard in general...

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

Moderately viable at the moment, could change in 6th Edition.

Ultimately, it's a very resilient army, but flawed in a lot of ways (namely low models, short range, low manoeuvrability, weakness in close combat and is expensive to build).
As a friendly list, it could be both very characterful and capable of winning IMHO, but I wouldn't recommend taking it to tournaments...

Hopefully that may help you.

Fortuned 10-man units of Wraithguard are hard as hell to kill. They're dangerous at close range shooting, but assault bogs them down. It's not a bad army choice, but an expensive one.

I've always thought that an army that was Wraithguard heavy would be a lot of fun. However, the last time I played was back at the beginning of 4th edition, when this mechanized craze wasn't nearly as ... bad... as it is now. I've gotten a lot of Necron stuff, and I also have a small Tau force from back then.

Just looking for options if I should decide to slowly build an Eldar army after I've gotten both of my current armies to decent sizes. I think it might be better to just take 5 man squads so I can make them more mobile... especially with the rampant transport meta.

5-man squads however aren't scoring. Only 10-man squads (with a Spiritseer) are.

2 10-man squads (with Eldrad for fortune) supported by a couple of Guardian Squads and 3 EML/BL Wraithlords could work at 1750pts IMHO.

FWIW, Mechanised is looking to be less prominent in 6th edition.

That is a good point. I've not seen any of the info that's been leaked or "found" about 6th, because to be honest with you, I don't even know the 5th edition rules!

I will surely keep this in mind. It's just so sad that they killed the Craftworld codex. :(
