Are you able to have 2 of the same spell if one is given from a bound item, for example Vanhel's Danse Macabre on a lore of vampire wizard and on a second who is getting it from the Book of Arkhan?

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Only generated spells must be different, so if you have bound items, loremasters, have bought spells or signatures it's all good.

Cool.. additional question, there is no reason a unit couldn't be affected by Vanhel's Danse multiple times in a single magic phase right?

I guess for the move part, but re-rolls don't really stack.

Rerolls don't stack because the single reroll satisfies the condition.

"I have X spell on that gives me +1Str and a Reroll" "I have it twice on me"

The way it works is it gives you a reroll(one reroll becomes the effect of both spells) and +2Str.

If something adds to a statline or a particular roll(like a -1 to hit) it will stack, but if its something that just happens it doesn't stack. Like rerolling all failed to wound rolls.

Am I right in understanding the rules for spells as: no 2 mages can have the same spell, unless something like Loremaster is present? Or if I have a Loremaster of Life can I not take another life mage?

So no taking 2 lv1 Fire mages with the first spell? But both could take the default since it isn't generated?

You ignore Loremaster and Bought / not rolled for spells for the purposes of duplication

So you have regular old Wizards(Lvl1, Lvl2, Lvl3, and Lvl4) that roll for spells. You can have the following combinations of wizards,

Lvl4, Lvl2, an infinite number of Lvl1s(Sig spell may be duplicated) and an Infinite number of Wizards that don't roll for spells(Lore Master, wizards that can pick their spells, always know certain spells, etc...) for a single lore.

Or instead of a Lvl4 and Lvl2 you could have 2 Lvl3s, 3 lvl2s, or an infinite number of Lvl1s(only 6 would actually roll)

And if each takes the signature you can have two lvl 4s with the same lore.

This is actually an interesting idea. I may have to try it.

Honestly its overkill there's rarely enough dice to go around, but i had to mention it was possible.

Well having the +4 to cast an entire lore is pretty cool, although if you think about it it's just really expensive Loremaster.
