There's an extension available for wikis http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Widgets that allows the creation of widgets that can allow for the adding of various objects into wiki pages.

Since adding HTML to websites with user submitted content is disabled, it does not work to add the code for Dakka images to wiki pages.

Is there anyone who has any ideas for creating a widget that would allow Dakka images to be added to wiki pages, preferably in a way similar to how regular on-wiki images can be added?

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.
