so, after seeing the new veermen range from mantic I'm really tempted to make a megnobz army out of them (ghazgul, mega armoured warboss, 2 units of 10 meganobs as troops and 3 units of 10 for elites) seeing as the bigger ratmen seem to be the right size, but I was wondering what dakka thinks if this idea :? would it work so long as it's wysiwyg? are the models even big enough?

As long as they are WYSIWYG and they are similar in size I wouldnt really have a problem with it I guess. But they look a bit small from the pictures they posted

I don't know if the first models you linked to will be large enough for Meganobs. I was thinking the same as you (but as an Ork rules but counts-as Hrud army), but more along the lines of the single figure you linked to being "mega-armor".

The rest of the range would make some cool shoota and sluggs boys though.

Yea upon thinking further, that armor looks like itd be a good "Eavy Armor" not Mega Armor. Youve got to realize that Mega Armor is fething MASSIVE. It weighs a good couple tons, that first armor does not, not even close.
