I got to play a game against one of our FLGS veteren players yesterday. It was close! A great game (for me - the orks) and a nail biter (for my opponent - BA).

The game began with the following lists:

Blood Angles: All Assault Marines. 3 Squads (melta heavy) + Dante and his honor guard.

Orks: 2 Trukks with 11 boyz and 1 Nob w/PK, BP
1 Battle Wagon with 18 boyz and 1 Nob w/PK, BP and KFF
1x15 Lootas
3x1 Deffkoptas with TL Rokits

The game began with Annhilation Scenerio in Dawn of War layout.
He won the roll off and chose to deploy first. He kept half the group in reserve (incl Dante).
Based on advice from my friend I stayed in reserve 100%.
I STOLE initiative whooo whooo!

Turn one I roll on the board, his turn...
I ran my lootas into the building on my left flank (rolled a 6).
Using KFF kept all the boyz together
Right flank covered by deffkoptas (suicidal)



I forgot how fast those assault marines move!!!!
I wasn't able to shoot with the lootas at the begining of round 1 but rolled great for the run. Then d3=3 for the deffguns UNLOADED on the squad advancing on their postion. He took 17 wounds saving most of them. Nevertheless, since I had lost 1 loota to shooting, I thought I'd loose them all if I didn't address it, so I steered the boyz into him.



The boyz shooting wiped them out. While my koptas skirmished on the right flank.



Did some one say Dante??? Behind us?????
This = battle wagon immobilized and weapon destroyed (Big shoota) on Right Trukk
Thank you KFF!!!!



The trukks did an about face and then all three barfed out 43 models with the KFF remaining in the immobilized wagon.



Dante sent two mobs running for the board edge and successfully disengaged by passing his Hit and Run check.



But couldn't keep the boyz away. Waaaaaagh!!!!!
Trukks redploy (which proved to be an overly hasty decision later costing me the win). I wasnt' keeping track of the VPs and I was winning by one. He had immobilized a battle wagon and forced 2 mobs to flee. He'd lost 2 squads, honor guard, and Dante. 4 to 3 my favor.



After finishing off the remaining koptas, his last remaining squad moves in for the kill.
My great die rolling couldn't hold out forever! My empty (defenseless) trukk explodes!!!! The orks cheer with delight... silly orks...



Game was a draw and a delight!
