Does anyone know where I can buy green rods like from old necron wariors in different sizes?
I want to convert all new necron gauss weapons to look like the old ones...

Thanks for any input!

I have googled acrylic rod and gotten a number of websites that offer it, they seem ok. In terms of a store that may carry it ... no idea, it doesnt seem to be carried much by my local hobby stores (that i can ever find anyway).

miniwargaming seems to have what I need, but they are located in Canada and that would greatly increase cost by adding 20$ shipping to europe...

Maybe to clarify my question: does anyone know any store in Europe (best would be Poland) that has them?

I bought tube in every colour from plastruct. Think that was uk. Postage to Australia was only $10, but they had a minimum order size of $30.

Good deal though, came nice and fast

A friend of mine used cocktail picks. Worked perfectly

No clue about Polish distributors, sadly, but I'd suggest looking around at non-hobby-specific options, as well. Like Kroothawk's friend, I've found colored acrylic rods unexpectedly in dollar stores and Walmart, in the form of cocktail stirring sticks. If you need a specific color and/or thickness, there are enough Ebay sellers that I imagine you could find an EU-based one to cut down on shipping costs, if you can't find a Polish website that sells what you need.

Pretty sure you just want 5/32 plastic rods from Plastruct - do a google search to find a vendor in your area, otherwise you can go to Hobbylinc.com or Towerhobbies.com.

You will see a lot of 3/32 - that's too small. You also will see 1/8th - while technicially too big" it works well for Necron Warriors, Deathmarks or any other model that only has one. 1/8th would be a problem for Immortals or anything that stacks them because they are, of course, wider.

Also, when I get home I'll check to see if I have some extra plastruct rods. They come in packs of like 10, and if I have extra I wouldn't mind sending you some. But I'm at work, let me see what I have when I get home.

I will be very, very surprised if there isn't a vendor in Germany that sells what you need.

I don't speak german, so unfortunately I can't help with actually finding one.

Thanks all!
I think I'll have a try with plastruct - they have a distributor in Germany so P&P shouldn't kill me

EMA do a nice range of coloured translucent acrylic rods. I bought some to transfer my 'crons to blue, but unfortunately the blue they supply was too weak and I had to coat it in Tamiya clear blue anyway.

I have also heard, but don't know how accurate it is, that you can use Lego lightsaber parts, which means green, red, blue, and purple are posibilities.

It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars."
