Subject: Question from a newbie -- Thin plastic glue's nozzle

Hi,
I bought a bottle of thin plastic glue from the Games Workshop today. I know this is a dumb question, but do I clip the tip off the plastic cover/cap? I think it might be that the plastic covering is supposed to come off, and my bottle is defective (there is glue in the plastic cap that makes it so I cannot pull out the metal tube), but I want to make sure. If I clip off the end of the plastic covering, there'd be nothing to stop the glue from drying out, right?
Thanks for reading!
Alex

clip away, the cap is what keeps it from drying out... next time don't buy GW glues, there really expensive compared to other options out there. Just do a forum search and there are a bunch of glue topics out there.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! Thanks Dijnsk, I was blindly hoping I wouldn't have to make the hour long journey back to the store, but I guess not! haha
And great advice drglnc, I'll buy cheaper glue from elsewhere next time. Cheers!

This. And then buy some ZapAGap from somewhere else. It's cheaper and more effective.

Thanks again for all the answers guys! I just thought I'd update this in case another schmuck comes along searching for the same answer.
I made the long and treacherous trek in 30+ degree weather to my "local" GW. When I arrived, sweaty and dangerously dehydrated, I told the nice lady working there my problem. She fixed it in under a minute, and enlightened me with much wisdom
The metal tube is in fact the nozzle, and is supposed to come out of the plastic covering (so don't snip the plastic like you would for the old plastic glue bottle). If the metal is stuck in the plastic cover, wrap it in paper towel and pull it out with pliers (which I was afraid to do since it looks so thin and delicate). Also, the nozzle will clog with glue-- but its self dissolving so just take the nozzle out, flip it around, and put it back in. But don't bother buying GW glue in the first place, as the gentlemen here have suggested, as there is glue just as good (and likely better, I've had my first arm fall off just the other day...) for cheaper out there. I'm glad I went, because I learned how to deal with clogs, and met some cool people there (though I really was extremely dehydrated, so I probably seemed drunk/and or high lol). Hope this helps someone!
(Also, I`ve learned malls in Ottawa don`t have water fountains. So if you`re like me, and would rather collapse of thirst than pay over two dollars for a plastic bottle of gorram plain water , bring your own.)

I've used Revell's Contacta brand plastic glue for the last 25 or so years without problems. It's cheaper than the GW stuff and just as easy to use. Testors and Humbrol also do similar products. Haven't used GW glues in years and that was only because I needed glue and the local hobby shop had closed.
The nozzle clogging can be fixed a number of ways - thin wire poked down the nozzle will clear it, as will removing the thin tube and passing it over a flame (when it goes *phut*, the glue clog has been burnt out).

I have been using the same glue for pretty much the same amount of time, its better than GW and one pot lasts a long time. Although i have a problem losing the metal needles, s i tend to take the needle off the empty pot and put it onto the new one.
I have never tried any GW glues, are they any good?

Nope, GW glues are temperamental, expensive (shocking, I know) and surprise, surprise, they dry up in the pot over time (must be made by the same company that makes their paint pots, hawhaw)
GW glues are typical GW hobby supplies, rebadged, low quality and super expensive...
