(Profile for fun games for a custom model I'm making for myself. Need some help assigning him a points cost and readjusting anything that seems too powerful or otherwise in need of tweaks. Still working on the model itself, pictures to come later, but it should be pretty evident what he's going to look like. Eventually I'll write more background as well.)

The Void
WS5 BS4 S5 T5 W3 I2 A4 Ld10

Jump Infantry
Independent Character
Ever-living
Reanimation Protocols
Wraithflight
Hit-and-run
Spacetime Slip
Assassin Wraiths

Wargear: Reality Tearer, Focused Chronometron, Phase Shifter

Reality Tearer - A stylized Warscythe, capable of cutting through dimensional barriers, both those innate to the universe and those created by artificial means; any Invulnerable Saves made against Reality Tearer must be retaken.

Focused Chronometron - Time warps around The Void, attackers moving as if in slow motion while he seems to put in supernatural bursts of speed. When involved in a Sweeping Advance, The Void rolls 2d6 and keeps the highest.

Spacetime Slip - The Void seems to eschew movement in Euclidian space much of the time, seeming to slip in and out of reality to those with senses limited to the 'usual' three dimensions. At the end of any round of combat in which The Void fought but is no longer in combat (and not fleeing), whether by Hit-and-Run, wiping out the enemy, or the enemy fleeing, The Void, and any unit he has joined with the Wraithflight rule, may Deep Strike elsewhere on the board. This may also be done after making a Reanimation Protocols roll successfully, but in this case he leaves behind any attackers and any unit he has joined. Additionally, he confers the Hit-and-Run USR to any unit with Wraithflight that he joins.

Assassin Wraiths - The Void is often seen traveling with Wraiths that appear to be modified to serve less as maintenance constructs and more to hunt down targets using their unique skills. An army including The Void may upgrade one unit of Wraiths to Assassin Wraiths for no additional cost. These are identical to Canoptek Wraiths, except that they Rend on a 5+ and may not take Particle Casters or Transdimensional Beamers.

(note: The Void is not an "Overlord" in the sense of some of the other special characters, and thus does not unlock a Royal Court)

(Edit: Removed the Orb and rolled part of its rule into Spacetime Slip, dropped his I to 2, lost the Phylactery, and adjusted the Wraiths as suggested.)

on the forum. Obviously

Ok...several things...

1: He has too many special rules.

2: He's I3. No necron should be I3 in the new dex

3: He has three pieces of special equipment, with each one being an ungodly buffed version of an existing piece of gear. I wouldn't mind him having one of those, but three? That's a bit much. The reality tearer in particular is a bit ridiculous, followed closely by the integrated res orb

4: He can take a unit of buffed wraiths that takes up no FOC. This means that you can potentially have 4 units of wraiths in a normal game, one of them having preferred enemy, which boosts their killing power considerably.

My advice for balance : Cut the wraiths, cut away two of his special wargear, tone down his uber-warscythe, and get rid of some his rules.

As he is now, he's probably at least 300-400 points.

Pretty much whatCthululsSpy said, this guy is really pushing it.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

For the scythe just make it reroll saves and drop the blast template or make it bypass all saves like the old scythe
If he is supposed to be with wraiths why an orb? Drop the orb and make him get back up on a 2+ the first time then a 5+ like everyone else
Make the assassin wraiths an upgrade to wraiths like the Eternals are to immortals since its basically the same upgrade
Drop WS down to 4 and I down to 2 keep him line with other necrons

Going to rework him a bit when I get home, editing is a pain on the phone.
The orb, by the way, only works for him, Azgrim; I just named it that for style purposes.

Make him Int 2, the scythe only has the reroll, get rid of spaceslip, for focused chrono, drop the 2D6 for the opponent, change the orb to allowing him to move 6" away from where he died isntead of deep striking, make assasin wraiths part of FOC and their upgrade(no beamer or caster) is they rend on a 5+

Funny you should mention that, that was actually my first thought for them, changed it when I saw the new PE rule.

Rough idea of poInts cost now that he's a bit less crazy?

I'd say around 225 points, I still think the spaceslip sound overpowered though. How about, instead of consolidating 3", he can DS with only 1D6 for scatter?
