According to 6th edition Rumors, no more assaults after run with fleet.

Instead fleet get a reroll on the 2d6 assault distance.

I wonder how this will work with Ghazghkull's Waaagh! (Allowing automatic 6's for the Run roll during the turn the Waaagh! is called).

My speculation is that if GW is competent they will release an FAQ and have an automatic double 6 for the charge distance =D.

And my bet is that if GW is incompetent they wont bother and Ghazzy will only be using his Waaagh! to make his 2+ save invulnerable

I'm not sure that that is going to work at all. An assult is an assult, but if your bored in hell for leather, thats not going to fair too well when you come up short on the move right in front of the gunline.

Don't hold your breath for a FAQ for around a year or so after the fact. Maybe they still have players that will give a gak, but if this edition is as iffy as people are eluding, I'm not seeing the rage against the machine that was shown in the past, not after the past two years of Douchebaggery that has become GW.

All I can say is hope for the best, prepair for the worst.

My GW stuff is almost a given, going to a new home... Of course there are a few saving graces, such as the fact that the FF RPG's have me semi interested, but as to the 40K 6th edition, uh... not really impressed yet until the ministery of information decides to take off the blinders and actually talk about the game.

Until then, they don't care, I don't care.

Money is going to those that want it in the gaming world this year. GW doesn't want it bad enough yet.

I have no real idea how it is going to be done but I wouldn't be suprised if they over looked him in the FAQ.

I strongly suspect that we're going to see a FAQ dump on June 30th or, possibly, July 1st. Maybe even Friday @ midnight.
There are SO many changes to the rules that most codices will be rife with inconsistencies and inaccuracies without them.

Though at the same time it does allow for a far better charge at times, you get a 6 move, a re-rollable D6 run, a full 6 than D6 that can be rerollled. So you have at the least, 14 range on that charge, which can translate to a full 24" without needing a trukk, and if you use a truck it's 30"

My vote goes for 6+D6 for Ghazskulls Waaagh.

I suppose a bigger question is if you still move the distance even if you fail the charge. Because that could really suck.

what i mean is GW rules will be muddy, it will take em ages to faq it, your army you had is now half invalidated.

Remember you can't run and assault anymore. Even with Fleet.

So what's the point now. An automatic 6' run from Ghazz is worthless to the Orks if they want to charge into combat.

Orkz gained some and lost some (particularly, they lost a lot of what I liked most about them).

Really, the FAQs gave a lot of armies the finger, not just Orkz. You can't really call them quality documents.
