I just aquired the Plastic Soldier Company Russian Infantry Heavy Weapons package. I readied them for glueing on plates... but what size of plates do I want to place them on?

I am guessing here:
Small bases:
Maxim Heavy Machine guns
50mm Mortar
82mm Mortar
Anti Tank PTRS rifles

Medium bases:
120mm Mortar

Am I way off here? What's the 'correct' way to mount these brave soldiers?

So far, this is what I had in mind.

The figures are not glued on yet, so disaster is still avoided!

Of course, I will get 4 bases of each variation.

Oh well... this is embarrassing!

I was asking the local shop, quietly, the seller turned around, took the small rulebook from the shelf and turned to pages 10-12. It's all there!

I guess "Reading The Fine Manual" is a thing, I should do more!

Assuming that You want to play the Flames of War... since You are in FoW part of his forum ... ALL mortars should be on medium stands (three dudes, one mortar).

Light machineguns and (again I am assuming that Soviets are based similarly to Germans) should be based on medium bases together with 2-3 other dudes with Mosin Nagant rifles (You actually need the PSC Soviet infantry box for this as well).

HMG Maxims probably should go on medium base and there should be one more dude with Mosin Nagant - I stand to be corrected, if Maxims go as an upgrade for rifle teams.
I dont know about Simonov's anti tank rifle, but German Panzerschrecks have either an option to be on the medium base (anti tank team) or as an upgrade for command teams (small base). So looking at Your pics, apart of mortar in the middle, the rest are based wrong.

Rocamador:

medium mortars, maxims and ptrd tank rifles go on medium bases. To be honest depending on your club not everybody is very strict how many guys on each base, bu standard is 4 guys with two anti-tanks rifles, 3 guys for medium mortar and 4 guys for heavy mortars, 3 guys per hmg on each base.

light mortars actually i am pretty sure use two crew and small base but i might be wrong about that one.

The light mortars currently have no rules in FoW. If they do in the future I expect them to be based as Wardancer describes.

Well, Brit paras have them on a small base so I suspect that's what it should be. But of course as you say, no rules so far.

The PTRD antitank gun should be mounted on a medium base with two guns on it if I recall correctly.
