Do german gw stock English books? I'm in Munich next week and desperate to pickup 6th ed and White dwarf!

I've only been in one German GW store but haven't seen an English book there. As an ex-German, I'd generally be surprised if this were the case - the only place you usually find English books are airports and the larger train stations, although book shops will generally get you anything you want if you give them a couple days time.

If you know someone in Munich, have him run to a book store and order your stuff there, maybe? No guarantee if they are able to get it in time, but it might be worth a shot!

Alternatively, the internet, more specifically amazon.co.uk and/or e-bay.

Mate, I was in Munich last week, and by chance I went into a fething ace FLGS, I bet it will have some, the place was rammed to the rafters with cool stuff!

Just down from the Big Theatre hotel. And only a few hundred yards from the big ass fountain right in the city centre. Its worth popping in anyway, cos its right near all the breweries and such.

Yeah, like Matty said, the shop on Landwehrstraße (Funtainment) is really nice. I've been there a few times, and they usually had English books in stock. I definitely recommend going there if you want to hit up an FLGS in Munich.

fething good shop though, I was walking back to my hotel (next door or something) after drinking heavily in the Augustiner Beer hall and watching the England game... and by chance my missus saw it and said "Look, minis!"

I went in the next day and rooted around for a half hour, one of the best independent stores I have been in.

And as Hordini said, some English books too, you might have some luck.

heh very good matty : my missus although generally forebearing when it comes to geekage can't believe I'm going to this trouble! Look fwd to going there next week. hordini do you know of any good stores in Berlin? There is a chance work will take me there in the next year or so. I remember being shocked to find a gw in kassel last year.. Gw gets around (though couldn't find anything here in Istanbul).
