Allies are definitely in. So I wanna ask what armies/units are going to be great together? I have friends that are super excited about running BA priests near Wolfstar (Wolf Lord on wolf with Thunderwolf Cavalry) I mean who wouldnt want to give their Wolfstar FnP and Furious Charge?

Well remember, you must select from the ally codex a non Character HQ and 1 troop choice in order to be able to select ONE other unit of your choice ally wise... so if you have the points, then yes lol.

So many people are getting this wrong, I have the book right in front of my and all it says for allies is that you must bring 1HQ and 1 Troop, nothing about No Specials Characters.
Here are some good ones that pop to mind.
Mephiston and Stormlord
Eldrad and everyone

If not, then any space marine army can add Mephiston and a couple of BA troop choices with no penalties.
DE armies can add the Avatar to make themselves fearless, or Eldrad for some extra psychic punch.
Most armies except chaos & nids can add a Draigowing detachment, or Belial and his deathstar unit.
Chaos marine armies can add fateweaver and have his rerolls carry over.
Chaos and a lot of the xenos armies can add any of the fancy Necron HQs.

People are getting it wrong as BoLS put that on their allies page.
I personally will injoy putting my SM librarian in a blob squad with force dome for 5++. Yes, now even the lowly guardsman can walk though a battle cannon shot, the two guys next to him didn't, but he did, and that means he can live to be handed another wound from look out sir and die to save the sergent.

I thought about these: Battlewagon Orks w/ Necron Lord in Flying Barge Solar Pulse, Haywire Staff, Veil Unit of Warriors or Immortals Wraiths You wanted long range shooting against my army? LOL SOLAR PULSE!! For armies with crappy troops that don't like capturing forward objectives (read: Tau) GK Libby + GK Terminators (take 10 and combat squad as one troop choice!) + Add a Psybolt Dread or even a Jump Dreadknight. Chaos can also add a bit to the Orks - Oblits, Demon Prince, probably some troops in a rhino with double plasma to help out on the AP2 front that Orks lack. Tau even give out some good stuff - HQ Suit Team, Firewarriors for home objective camping, and Broadsides, maybe some more Crisis suits. Space Wolves could even work out - Bear lord on Wolf, GH unit with double plasma, and a big TWC unit, maybe some Long Fangs! Frankly, there is so much cherry picking that can happen, it's like being in a grove of cherry tree's - with a squad of the most points efficient MEQ unit tagging along to do all the heavy lifting!

A unit of 3 broadsides, I think, will help just about any army.
Also according to the new FAQ, blacksun filters negate nightfight (which is now a rule in every basic scenario, in addition to the solar pulse thing). So a detachment of suits can add serious firepower.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to a Tau army with a detachment of Orks. Two big mobs of boyz with a KFF Mek would really add a lot to my Tau army.

Read the new FAQs, a lot of these abusive army-combos aren't allowed to carry over (eg, Sanguinary Priests/Sanguinor/etc only affect Blood Angels units).

I'm liking the prospect of having a mini guard army within my sisters of battle army to make up numbers and to deliver a bit of added punch mephiston will be a tasty addition to any army and assault marines as troos is always fun also, an iquisitor in his pant's is only 25pts which allows quite a few armies acess to GK termies as troops wich is always fun. I'm thinking an iquissy with termy armour and a psycannon with a ten man unit of termies with another two psycannons is going to be pretty scary .....great, now I want to have a swing at making SoB termie armour :/

I'm not so sure Mephiston is the ally everyone thinks he will be. Does he not have a force sword? That's just ap 3 now. So, he'll get rocked by any dedicated assault unit with a 2 +.
I'm pretty pumped about CSM/CD mono-nurgle Tally... or Fateweaver letting my CSM vehicles reroll cover saves!
