I don't mean new codices, i'm just wondering about FAQ pages bringing our 5th ed. (or maybe even 4th >.< ) codices up to 6th ed. par. I'm Playing Chaos daemons, which is now one of the older 'dexs left, and having looked through the 6th ed. rulebook, i'm feeling really rather gimped.
Not only do i seem RADICALLY nerfed in almost every way, but many rules in my codex are now vague at best. Did 6th just break my army, or will a forthcoming pdf save my from chaos-spawndom?
P.s. Sorry if i went on a bit of a rant there...

How did Deamons get a nerf? The miss-hap table is a little less risky, you can get a save from dangerous terrain which helps deep-striking even more, flamers of tzeentch are now unchargeable by anything bar Terminators, Deamon Princes get some swoop attack thing (and a nerf to shoot them? Don't have the rulebook).
Though, I have no idea how to kill fliers. Can flying Demon Princes assault them? Would appreciate some confirmation.
Someone posted in a Chaos Marines thread but it's true for Deamons as well. Pavane of Slanesh lets you snipe models. Use it on a blob, get lucky and roll a six, then move a commissar to the front and unleash your shooting. Dead Commissar
Can wipe out special weapons/sargents easily.

Yep, you can Vector Strike them D3 +1 hits at unmodified strength and AP3 (it hits against side armor though..But a Blood thirster aint going to care) and can still fire one weapon.

I am pleased by the Blood Angel one, they specified that only blood angel units from the Blood Angel dex can recieve the FNP and Furious Charge bonus.
Page 48 – Sanguinary Priests, Blood Chalice.
Change first sentence to: “All friendly units chosen from Codex:
Blood Angels within 6" are subject to the Furious Charge and
Feel No Pain special rules”
I am NOT pleased that Ezekial is Power Mastery 1! Yet Njal is a 2!?

Dude....Mephiston is Mastery Level 3. As it stands I think there is only 5 characters with level 3. So, you got Psykers covered.
As far as Necrons go, I'm just happy Warscythes are AP 1!

Well they didn't really get hit by anything relating to a nerf, and they had nothing to change.
I mean they only really GAINED from 6th, rage not making their repentia and Pentent engines crazy, but instead giving them +2 on the charge (4 Eviscerator attacks on the charge!) kinda nerfed with the FNP.
But FNP is also given by Uriah, which means a whole squad gets a save against things that would've cut through them before, not to mention the canoness works on another races units. (Probably the ONLY USE EVER)

I was a little surprised at how short it is myself, although I'm not sure what I wanted to see on it. It's such a short and straightforward 'codex' there's not much to update

For example: they changed an ( IMHO) cool and very eldar-like ability of Harlequins veil of tears to simple + 3 to cover. At the same time they left unchanged such incredible skills like Intercept (now I can pay to hit vehicles on at lest 4+ when I already hit them always on 3+) or Surprise Assault (I can also pay for this jump infantry unit to be able to deep strike; of course they already have DS for free but what do I know).

I preferred old rule better. Now 4+ in the open is cool, but not when you already have 5++ and are invulnerable from shooting > 24". Any cover ignoring weapons will drop them like flies from safe distance.

I've seen harle's get dropped by more closer ranged rapid fire weapons than cover ignoring, which usually drop them anyways since templates and blasts weren't affected by the veil either.
As for the other...Well, hope for them to get something this edition, something new and shiny, not a rehash of a third edition codex that was poorly done to begin with.

There is no way in hell they intended to just add shrouded and stealth to VoT. Expect it to be changed soon. I think this ultimately proves how lazy this FAQ is.

Because GW are clearly not interested enough in the older codexes to actually bother to read them correctly and/or write perfectly correct rule references for them. What they clearly mean is "replace replace fourth and fifth sentence" since first, second and third are fluff and no rules.
Either that, or GW actually DO mean for Shadowseer to give Shrouded, Stealth, AND 2D6x2 spotting distance since sentence six is senseless without the current fourth and fifth and the last, number seven, is defunct as of the switch to 5th edition.
