Strike force delta moves to intercept, secures objective with two stormraven class gunships. One sprays the hostile doomscythe with assault cannon fire, stripping a Hullpoint away. Another fires a plasma cannon shot into the valkerie. The Doomscythe initiates a deathray shot into the hostile Doomscythe, destroying it outright, the hostile doomsythe crashes and burns into the opposing stormraven, destroying it. The valkerie is shot down by bloodstrike missiles fired by the Stormraven class. It attempts to evade, but the bloodstrike missile slams into the superstructure, destroying it in a plume of fire. Game won by delta force.
Second mission:
Strike element delta recieves a strike from hostiles, We have incoming cannon fire, I repeat. we have incoming cannon fire. Deathray shot has hit our friendly Doomscythe, destroying it outright! Stormraven gunships are moving to evade, stripping the valkerie of two hullpoints and sending it from the battlefield with a stun. Enemy doomscythe is wrecked, thank the emperor. One stormraven has been hit, I repeat, stormraven sent to its grave by sustained fire from the enemy stormraven, Enemy valkerie has missed, thank the emperor. we are returning fire, enemy valkerie is down, but we are on two hull points. Enemy stormraven has closed to fire at point blank. Catastrophic misfire, stormraven has missed! both stormravens claim the objective. Drawn game!
Summary of the new rules for fliers.
Extremely fragile, but hard hitting. Necron fliers are brutal, able to move up to 36 inches, get an invunerable AND shoot without snapfiring (hitting on sixes).
