Hey so I'm off to my first tourney (just a little one at the local GW) on the 21st and I'm wondering what is really expected? Obviously sh**, shower and shave, but in terms of...
Lists;
Do I just bring a whole lot printed off, or just one and give it to each opponent and then take it back after? Would I need points for each upgrade or would I need just a total unit cost? I have a wee bit of background for my characters and some of my units, would people mind if that (just one or two sentences) is tacked onto the bottom of their entry in the army list, or is that alright and all part of the fun?
Manners;
How much celebrating do you guys think is too much? I tend to congratulate people when they, I dunno, slaughter a unit or something (so long as its done well), would it come across as 'sucking up' for sportsmanship points and I should steer clear of it? I also commiserate with people when they fail every 3+ save they just had to make or something along those lines, I have never been told that I do it in a condescending way, so if I manage to keep to that then is that alright, or are people at tournies generally more highly strung and likely to get all hurt?
The models themselves;
Painted and based to a reasonable standard is all that is expected? Say I'm missing 2 dwarf warriors with GWs, do you think people would mind if I have two warriors with shields buried within the ranks? They'd be the first to die and pretty well hidden...
That is all the questions I can think of at the moment, when more come up I'll either post them up here or, if they are similar to the ones above and I get told to go away and ask the TO, I'll just ask them. If they are all silly and can just be answered by 'ask your TO' then I apologize, I'm just asking because Its my first tournament and I would like to go in knowing something. Thanks guys.
