so i was just looking at Power Weapons.
Last week - my Saint did have power Weapon and wound all on 4+ = i "could" kill 2+ saves or make them roll there Inv saves.
NOW - it seems cos its a Sword, it confers to a 3AP, so when i CC a HQ/Elites (most people play SM/ GK) with 2+ save My Saint wont even do any wounds? or 1 from 5 attacks if i am very lucky?
am i reading the Rule book Wrong? or is my only unit thats good in CC now shocking!!!?
as i am using them 2 WD mags to work out of, its only says Power weapon wound on 4+ unless less is needed...
wont be worth using her with MEQs.

yes thats What Rulebook Reads. so she is worthless with the "elite" fighters now. and joins the rest of my army and "good" at best.

well my friend plays GKs when its down to CC she is only 1 can do any damage, rest just useless. we need somethin in amry thats OP. looks like got to just avoid them now.

You're playing SoB, you don't run Uriah and the battle conclave? Come on dude, I play sisters occasionally, you have the Uriah Bomb, the DCA with 5++/5+ (thats not denied by power weapons now), that gets a ton of attacks on the charge that breaks down most marines.

i use Uriah and Saint as my 2 HQ units. howeva they seem to get wasted asap cos every1 knows what they can do.
Saint as always been good at taking all units in CC. now will have play little diff i feel.

Change the power sword over to something else, if it makes that much difference
I agree, the power weapon thing took my by surprise. But a little adjustment and the army will work.

i see were you guys are coming from, but all SOB are still metal, and me chopping off my saints Sword to make an Axe to fit into game better may just make me cry LOL.

Since Celestine has an unusual power weapon, it counts as AP3, even if it was shaped like an axe.

Correct me if I am wrong. Per White Dwarf Codex, Celestine has the Ardent Blade, a "power weapon that....". The FAQ has no mention of changing it from a power weapon to a power sword, axe, maul, etc. You run Celestine with an Ardent Blade, and use the power weapon of your choice. As far as modeling goes, that's your call. I am seeing a lot of masking tape strips on models that say power sword or axe, and I am fine with that for now, we are all learning new rules. Run her with all types of weapons, and find what works best for her (I like the I7 power sword myself).

The rulebook says that unusual power weapons, ie power weapons with extra rules like the AB, count as AP3. Why you would want to give her an axe when she's init 7 is beyond me.
