My mate has this model which looks like a tiny Wraithlord. He says he thinks it's an old 2nd Edition 'Eldar Assassin', a tiny wraithlord (or dreadnought as they were still called back then) with a shuriken catapult coming out of it's head. Anyone able to provide more information on what it actually is? Also is it worth keeping to sell as a collector's model (my mate was about to sell it in a random bits box at a car boot sale until I spotted it and rescued it)?

I've been playing 40K since 1991 and I have never seen anything like it. To be clear this is not an Epic scale model. It is on a 28mm 40K slotta base and the barrel of the shuriken catapult is 40K scale.

Eldar Wraithlord from Epic. The old 40k spin off that used much smaller models.

It's definately not a model from Epic. We have checked and the Epic Eldar Dreadnoughts/Wraithlords are much smaller. I have just looked at the metal strip between the feet and it says 'Eldar Wardrone 1988' (probably should have checked there first ). So anyone know if this is a collector's piece?

It's a "Ghost Warrior"; essentially a proto-Wraithguard from the days of Rogue Trader.
