just wondering if anybody else is having issues with their pre-orders apparently due to high demand GW can't fill out all of their pre-orders for gamer and limited edition versions of 6th. i've looked and haven't seen any rage going around yet (not that i'm inciting it though)

i ordered the gamer on sunday morning and went in to pick it up today and got told that i may not receive my copy due to the fact that they only made limited amount of them and i guess didn't expect there to be a million people all ordering them at once

whats odd is that due to the fact that people ordered in clusters they seem to be distributing them at random (just because you ordered it on saturday doesn't mean you're guaranteed a copy as some people who ordered it on sunday have received theirs)

so now i have to call them and see what they're going to do, i got the 6th edition rulebook but i'm still out 60 bucks worth... anyone else in the same boat?

I pre-ordered mine through my FLGS and they have not gotten mine in yet, so I would say yes. I'm very disappointed.

Yep! GW told the FLGS they could get limited editions. They couldn't, then they failed to mail the box that contained the rulebooks in the weekly order, so I'm waiting 'til monday to get my late, not special edition copy :/

What kind of a bunch of numbskulls fails to fill preorders? That's why you take pre orders, so you know how many to manufacture and eventually ship. When I worked in a game store that's why they were always telling us to hock pre orders is so that they would be guaranteed a copy.

Whoever you preordered it from probably sold your copy to some walk in like an incompetent. When you preorder you a copy the retailer is supposed to reserve it for you.

I ordered one online, they claim they have sent it now, they sent me two emails saying they had shipped it before they actually shipped it. I ordered express shipping and their site says 1 - 2 days is what their express shipping is, when I called because of a tracking number issue they told me that the "express" shipping is actually 3 times longer than their site says. With "express" shipping my rulebook should arrive a week after it released.

I called Fedex to confirm that the shipping info and found out that Games workshop lied about the speed for their shipping rates.

So far I have encountered the lies from GW with the transaction:
Email Monday stating the item had shipped
Email Thursday saying the item had shipped with tracking number
Stated express shipping rate of 1 - 2 business days, shipped on a 2 - 8 business day shipping.

Does anyone happen to know if GW has an office in the US and if so the address so I can file a claim with the better business bureau?

GW are very poor at preorders. I've only preordered once and that was to get Space Hulk before it sold out. And yes, even though it was supposed to be delivered to the store, my copy didn't arrive on release day. Frustratingly there were shed loads of Space Hulk boxes just sitting there and they wouldn't give me one in place of my order.

So for this rulebook, I just went in and bought it (and had to queue for the first time ever).

I wish that would have been an option for me their are no GW stores withing several hours of where I live(nearest is in Winnepeg, which is right around 7 hours away) and the nearest store that carries GW products was over an hour away.

Ordered mine 17 minutes after it was announced on the 22nd (in Canada) and chose the ship to local store.
Got an email confirming it had shipped on the 25th, and it has still not arrived at the store.

I'm upset about it obviously, but I'm too psyched for that badass satchel to be livid (it's got me planning a DKOK cosplay, the only other aquila badge I've found was 100$ and just a pin).
I see one of 2 things happening, either I receive it in the next couple of days and I shrug it off since I wouldn't have used it anyway, or option 2 if more than a week goes by, I raise hell and demand free product along with the gamer's edition. There's an option 3 where I never receive the satchel, but exterminatus has always been sketchy.
