So. you have your chimera back to back with another chimera and it gets wrecked. You are forced to disembark. But you cant because theres a chimera blocking your only door! So something horrible happens right? You have to emergency disembark, so for the rest of the turn (which is player turn since it does not specify) you cannot do any voluntary actions (OH NOES NO OVERWATCH THAT ROUND!) but you get to move 6inches from anywhere on the hull, and you get to act normally during your turn?!?!? LAME! at least pin them for a full turn after the wreck.
So its actually better for you in almost every way to block your own exits (especially on chimeras) you get a lot more movement out of it for so very little cost. This should be changed IMO.

If the vehicle is wrecked, you get to disembark 3". This is the same for an emergency disembark also.

Yeah it's only 3" out of the vehicle, it's 6" if you just want to exit and it's blocked by something else without the vehicle being wrecked.
I still think the dumbest rules are the disembarkation rules...that was a huge wtf right up there with the mixed saves rules and 1 ic taking a bajillion wounds all by himself by being closest. smh @ 6th ed

As was pointed out, if the vehicle was wrecked the disembark is only 3". Additionally when a vehicle is wrecked or destroyed the unit that was inside must take a pinning test as per page 80's effects of damage on passengers.

Still.. 3 inches from anywhere on the hull is still a better situation than 3 inches just from a hatch on a chimera.

Actually, it's no different then driving a chimera up and presenting a rear armor shot and being forced to disembark normally.

Seeing as how you can ONLY emergency disembark if you can't normally disembark, this won't really be an issue. Still, emergency disembark is better than dying outright due to the exit point being blocked.

It worked that way in 5th as well...
Emergency disembark disallowed voluntary actions for the rest of the turn.
Nothing has changed.

Nothing has changed, except that we now have 1 whole inch more than in 5th.

And they have to fit wholly within that extra inch, and seeing as their base is 1 inch, they gain a fraction of a millimeter in distance.
So no measurable change at all.
