Two quick things:
1) I bought some non-Battlefront 1/100 aircraft for Flames of War, but am wondering what size base to base them on. Can anyone give me the diameter of the base size of the official aircraft models?
2) The smoke rules say smoke markers are 2" in diameter, which implies a circle. But when I see the smoke markers made by others, they are square 2" by 2" (or at least appear square, not sure on the size). Can anyone explain this?

Thanks so much!

Mez

Don't have the bae handy, but there are two different smoke markers.

1) Direct fire - 2 inch circle

2) Indirect - same size as artillery template, 6x6.

My aircraft (non BF 1:100) are bases on large GW flying bases which are 60mm IIRC. The BF bases are slightly smaller but larger than GW small flying bases which are 30mm IIRC.

Doesn't V3 use the aircraft as the aiming point? Not the base or the stand as V2 did.

yes, it uses the aircraft. Its the stand height that is important.

So what is the height of the aircraft stand?

I'm using Axis and Allies Angels 20 models for my aircraft, so that would be helpful so I know how height to have the aircraft at.

Thanks! Mez
