The Chaos Sorcerer instead takes two roles from the Telepathy discipline. What do you think? It's supposed to be a "fluffy" Iron Warriors list-- a few Iron Warriors and their horde of serfs running the warmachines.

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to trying out this new rules set. So far I love the feel of it.

Very Iron Warriors.

The idea of Vendettas painted in Iron warriors colors sounds awesome.

I like it.

This isn't half bad, really, though I think Iron Warriors need a unit of termis and a Vindicator/Oblit cult to get the right feel.

It's just personal preference, mind. And wouldn't a master of ordnance be more fluffy in the company command?

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

That does not scream Iron Warriors to me. I don't see anythhing that says Seige specialist.

15 lascannons, ordanance, and fortifications don't sound seigey enough for you?

Run it man. Just keep us updated on how it does against different armies. To be honest I had thought about doing something similar to this and if it works out well for you I might be hijacking your list lol

looks fun, my only question is why put melta guns in the IG squads if you put a Lascanon in them? Those gun will never be within range to use

FOR THE GLORY OF CHAOS!!!!!!!

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

Well no if most of the las are coming from Gaurd. Why is there a sorceror leading the army? It does not scream Iron Warriors, I am sorry.

I don't remember ever hearing anything about Iron Warriors not having Sorcerers.

I am sure if he could take an actual Warsmith the way they should be done he would but sadly they don't exist at the moment.

Crossing my fingers that the new Chaos Dex does have the rules for them and a Night Lords character as well.

A squadron of 3 Vendettas is massive overkill. Your opponents can just ignore the Vendettas and laugh as you spend 390 points to kill one 35 point Rhino per turn.

Read Dead Sky, Black Sun. Honsou's enemies brought multiple sorcerers to bear against him in the siege of his fortress. And the sorcerer isn't leading an army. He's leading 20 marines and a company of expendable slaves.

Or gun down 9 marines or 9 terminators or a landraider or a fortification or, most importantly, whatever air support they bring. Vector Striking Hive Tyrant? Dead. Daemon Circus of Terror? Dead.

I like it, it has the Iron Warriors feel to it and looks quite nasty!

I do believe that a squadron of 3 Vendettas is too much - 2 might be enough IMO. I would add a Lascanon HW team in the platoon along with Autocanon Team(s) for additionnal fire support.

Are the CSM squads using the two Chimeras for transport? If so, and considering the changes suggested above, maybe you could get them twin meltaguns/plasmaguns and use them to seize objectives or plug the breaches in your line.

I support the Vindicators suggestion, but purely out of personnal choice: Vindicators are my favourite tanks, lol!

Good luck with the list, post results and updates (if any) when you test it.

Praise the emperor, bless your weapon and pass the ammo!

Damn you, sir, I had exactly same idea!
If it were me, though, I would take out the vendettas, add in a Hydra or a couple of Medusa, unfortunately they both occupy the same slot, so having both is impossible. But yeah, the three vendettas don't scream "Sieeeeeeeege!" to me.
