My thoughts

1 Very shooty (i like )
2 assaults are now risky (makes perfect sense )
3 vehicles are no longer a bane (easier to kill yet still worth taking )
4 more like a future game than a fantasy game (guns rule CC is an second option if guns don't work )

My thoughts mimic some of yours

1. very shooty, very movie like
2. assaults can pay off, but you really need to link it through. charging a unit of 30 Ork boys without shooting them up firt could be hurtful to a 10 may MEQ squad
3. i think of vehicle like a alpha strike in some regards. played right hull points can be very helpful, no more 1 shotting Landraiders or Wagons.
4. I like the addition of challenges, I love the idea of "rooting on" in challenges getting re-rolls

Overall, very surprised I like the mission changes, so it will be a matter of playing it out and seeing how it goes. I feel bad for nid players. Snap fire / overwatch will hurt them somewhat, so they will likely need bigger units to compensate.

For me, it feels like you don't have a brain so you have to play SM and have it easier than say Chaos Deamons or Tyranids.

Yes it's really shooty now. It benifits the stronger codecies and makes it easier for them to play with.

I think people should feel insulted that GW has to make their armies easier to play since it's almost like if you are a SM player you got no brain.

Now it's like if you are an assaulty army like Deamons or an assaulty Tyranid army you have a brain because you NOW MUST ACTUALLY THINK.

I am not saying all SM players are like this, but that is how I would feel if I was a SM player. Actually I am a DA player and I am a bit insulted that I need to have things easier to play with agasint people who don't get allies or got a nerf to CC if that is their primary way of attacking.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
