Okay, so how are Daemon Herald Chariots treated in 6E? In the back of the BRB in the codex unit listing they are left out entirely, while every other herald type is listed. They are also not listed in the Chaos Daemon vehicle list. Now, in 5E they were not vehicles, just upgraded ICs with specific types (infantry, jet bike, etc.)

The Necron codex FAQ specifically adds the "Chariot" vehicle type to the Command Barge, but no such love in the CD codex FAQ. So, I would assume that they are not vehicles and are not of type "Chariot." However, they are also not listed in the BRB, so the codex still trumps?

They're exactly the same as they've always been.

So they just run off the wounds of the unit ? Reading the BRB it makes them sound like some sort of vehicle with hull points since when you are firing at them you can't target the rider.

The VEHICLE "Chariot" Type is a special type of vehicle. Daemon Chariots arent vehicles, they just share a name.
