There's alot of talk on the board atm about 6th, all the different armies. It seems half the armies are squealing in fear at attempting to destroy fliers, a quarter are squealing at the idea of tough terminators, and the last quarter are putting the finishing touches to their terminators they just got off the shelf. So what have you observed happening in game 6th? are fliers rampaging the battlefields due to a lack of AA? Are monstrous creatures more powerful, especially with wings? Are rapid fire weapons making more of an impact in game? Are terminators really that tough? -edit- PLEASE NOTE: This thread is asking for observations in game, not math hammer and assumptions based on paper.

Necrons are absolute beasts in challenges due to MSS and Warscythes. Annhiliation Barges are a lot better due to their 5++ / potentially 3++ when in cover and them being able to shoot more. Twin-Linked also helps greatly vs. flyers. Aegis Bastion might be a good idea to get for the Ikarus gun. Played a doubles and my all got one that took 1 Night Scythe and 1 Stormraven down. Not too bad for ~70 points. DL + Wraiths = 100% rape. Killed 1 unit of terminators and a few normal squads. I2 still hurts Necrons. Random Charge lengths are AWESOME. Got charged, Overwatch, failed to reach me, shot them, they charged again, Overwatch, could not reach due to losing too many models. Yay. Gauss blows everything up. At sight. Stormtek is awesome. Cheesebot is a LOT less annoying now. Charging a unit of Necron Warriors / Gauss Immortals immediately kills him and neither does he stand a chance vs flyers. Playing flyers feels really cool, but they aren't as durable as many want them to be. AV 11 isn't a lot and massed fire will easily take you out...and Skyfire rapes us. Aegis Bastion is quite effective, as stated above. Tyranids...well...I feel with ya. Enemy tyranids got tabled in turn 3. Nerf to cover saves really hurt 'em. The player was very mediocre, but idk what he could have done better tbh. Terminators are really durable now...yeesh. My ally BA needed my Wraiths to kill them in melee. DC became quite good. Still expensive, but +2 attacks on charging is cool. Really mean in combination with Wraiths as the BA get to sweep with I4 vs I1. Night Scythes seem really OP to me. Moving 35,p9'' and STILL disembarking models that may STILL shoot is just wrong. Sure, snapfire. So...Tesla.

'Crons have comeback in a BIG way, they were good in 5th with the new codex, the 6th rules came out and everyone cried out how awesome they became...looks like its v. true. Good army on paper and on the field.
I feel sorry for the 'nids, as I am yet to hear "ooooh we got this!" from 'nid players...

Tau are in a good place. Their Overwatch threat is huge, since they are so loaded with mid strength firepower. I failed two charges with my Blood Angel ASM today due to volume of overwatch fire killing the one closest Marine. I think I might have to start leading assaults with an IC just so I can LOS Overwatch fire onto guys at the back to keep my required charge distance down.
Throwing krak grenades is awesome.
Setting terrain after rolling deployment and mission is lame as feth.
Random psychic powers blow. Random Warlord traits blow.
The Victory Point for First Blood is lame. Plain and simple, the guy who goes first gets a free VP unless he's playing a slow assault army.
I like the random charges and having to decide when to use jump packs and when to walk.
Tau are mobile as crap. By the third turn he was running for his life, but the army had no loss of volume of fire as it flew away from my Angels.
I never thought I'd run into a middle aged guy in a Stanford shirt who hadn't read Paradise Lost. It made explaining the background of the game way harder than it should be.
AP1 meltabombs rule.
Pretty sure I'm never combat squadding my Blood Angels again. Also, bikes just might have gotten better than jump infantry, since they always get their Hammer of Wrath hits, stand up to Overwatch fire better, and get a permanent cover save.

Flying MCs are awesome and nearly impossible to kill along with fateweaver, I just need to learn there rules 100% and decided between shooty MC/vetor strike or assualt MCs....
Played a game today and table CSM turn 4 with MCs, oh btw thousands are pretty nasty too.
