Reroll any dice to charge though. That means if you roll a 6 and a 1, you can roll only the 1 to get higher. It brings the average charge distance to about 9, which is the average charge distance in 5th ed with run + charge. In fact, the advantage now is you can bother to shoot.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

You wont need to worry to much, charging is 2d6 and fleet lets you reroll any of those dice you dont like. so you in theory get just as far with it.

One of the main problems I see with it is, Units w/o fleet will avg 7" charge range, units with fleet will avg 9" charge range.
Before this it was an avg of 6 vs 9, it's not that units with fleet got worse, sure you had to run to do it ... but still it's units w/o fleet got better on avg.

I expect Shoota Boys to become even better than Sluggas, due to Overwatch (here's 90 shots in the face if the 30 man squad is untouched!). Sure, you get 1 less attack on the charge, but...

The nerf comes in two forms.
It isn't quite as far with the 2d6 reroll as the D6+6
You find out later.
In 5E, if my target was 10" away, and my Run was only 2", then I could use that movement to get into cover, or spread out or whatever. Plus I now knew that target was not getting hit, so perhaps I would shoot it more, or try assaulting from somewhere else.
Now, I don't find out until the assault phase.

I probably won't shoot in 6e for the same reason I didn't in 5th: I can't risk the casualty removal to deny my assault.
