What AP is a dreadnought ccw? I think its 2, but a blood claw is indeed treated like a lightning claw. I would say its probably AP3. Though no doubt someone will be along in a min to correct me...

They are AP3.
DCCWs are AP2.

Because it's clearly intended to be like this, and it doesn't require an FaQ? You said it yourself, they act just as lightning claws, including the stats.

Just be happy it's not an unusual, in which case it'd lose Shred.

It would not lose Shred, it would follow its own unique rules. Which are that its a Lightining Claw with the rule that it gets another attack for each wound caused. So it would be AP3 with Shred and Specialist Weapon.

Because they're Games Workshop. It wouldn't be the first, or last, time they did that by any means.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

No, Blood fists are DCCWs. Blood Talons are Lighting Claws that do another thing.
And this really isn't a big deal since you didn't send Blendernaughts against 2+ saves anyway, you sent them against things like Ork Boyz. Which they are even more effective against now because if the PK is close enough the Dred can shred him.

I LOL at this... It's GW! They are not in the market for you to keep using what you already purchased, they are looking for new sales.
We bought enough of the Furiosos with claws, now they would like you to buy something else please....
Power weapons, Vehicles, Decent of Angels and Melee combat was so last edition... now, vehicles fall apart fast, combat is harder to get too and someone decided that folks were not buying enough of our F'ing GW terrain... Rapid fire infantry, Jet Packs, flyers, terminators, powerfirsts and Fortifications FTW baby!
<insert add - please buy and update your army to play with the new cool stuff please>
<Sarcasm> Nahh... GW wouldn't mess with the things people used to like... LOL, never... </sarcasm>
