Hello Everyone,

General Chaos here with another Video Battle Report. This was a 1500 point battle between my Orks and Jon's Space Wolves. This was my first game using the 6th edition rule set so if we get somethings wrong I apologize in advance. Jon took his standard Wolves list while I took a little bit of everything to test out the new rules. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching.

Very well done, excellent battle report. This was particularly interesting for me as I've been playing Orks for the last 3 years and over the last couple of months I've picked up a new army which happens to be 1,500pts of Space Wolves.

Decent battle report all told. However, I don't think your trukk boyz and storm boyz can assault when they come out of reserves.

That Dakkajet took a TON of fire!! Those long fangs just kept plugging the whole game though and the raider stayed alive...

Nice paint job on da Orks btw, simple awesome work!

Heck ya it did, the only two shots that did hit I jinked out of the way. I wish I would of remembered I could snapfire after jinking, if so, I wouldn't of left the board that turn.

As for assaulting from reserve, Pg 125 of the new rulebook, second paragraph.


One thing that maybe was overlooked is that the Long Fang Missile Launchers can use the new Flakk Missile, which has Skyfire and can shoot at flyers at full BS.

Also, you mention in your voice over that if you had a Terminator up front, and you failed the save, you can use Look Out, Sir to pass it on... but when you have a unit with mixed saves, you have to Roll for Look Out, Sir (if you are going to) before any saves are rolled.

Believe it is PG 125. Unless special rules say otherwise can't assault from reserves. Can't look out sir after failed wound unless armor saves are the same.

He's right, if you want your Stormboyz to assault out of deep strike you'll have to take Zagstruk.

I seen the profile for Flaak Missiles but where does it say that Long Fangs get them?

Oh, sorry, my bad, musn't have been listening properly when they arrived. My fault. It appears that you wouldn't be able to assault coming out of reserve at all then. Yeah, page 125, second paragraph down in the left column.

Seriously! No more assaulting from reserves! Well Snikrot is gunna sit on the shelf this edition it seems. Wolf scouts, hell any scouts, just got a big nerf bat to the face.

It's in the reference section in the back of the new rule book. Missile Launchers gain the Flakk missile but Cyclones and Typhoons do not. The FAQs say to refer. To this section of the rule book for updated profiles. (this is also where you can find which units in your codex have received the new Character special rule)

Read the entry above the Missile Launcher where it gives the stats for the flakk missile. It says something about having frag and krak but flakk being an options give to some armies or something like that.

You can't really go off the reference section right now because it says Codex Space Marines have Storm Ravens...which I am sure they will in the next codex but you can't take them right now.

I don't agree with this. The FAQs specifically refer to the reference section for updated profiles, not new units. If your codex doesn't have a stormraven in it, then ignore the profile in the reference section, that is simple enough (I can certainly see why they would consolidate common Vehicles into the Space Marine section rather than list it separate for every SM Chapter that can use it). Specifically the Weapons section gives updated profiles for common weapons including the Missile Launcher, and it includes the Flakk Missile on Pg 415.

I know, I've dropped Snikrot from my Orks when I take them out and I've dropped the Melta Bombs from the Wolf Scouts, making do with just the Meltagun. I feel sorry for the Genestealer and WWP list players though, I don't really understand why you can't charge out of reserve either. It doesn't make sense in terms of how a back strory would work. Genestealers enter the battlefield, run on, stand around waiting for a bit before getting into the action .

Not a problem, just didn't want this to turn into a rules debate
