So, apparently flyers must enter from the reserves and you automatically lose the game if you don't have anything on the board; does this means that i can't use airborne armies anymore? am i forced to send troops on foot/tanks at the beginning of the game? I've finished to make an elysian army last month, and this really pisses me off, since it totally breaks the concept of my army; there is any way to keep an entire army airbone in 6th edition?

If you have no models left on the table at the end of a game turn, then you lose (p122).

So yes, it's a bad idea to have an aircav army now.

Although, since only half of your units can be held in Reserve (not including things that must be held in reserve, like Flyers), there's little chance you'd be able to do so anyway.

There's more to it than that... but in a word, yes.

This is on page 2, take a look...

But with reserve rolls being what a 3+ on turn 3, I think you will be basically rolling really low for this to ever happen.

In other words, nothing to worry about unless your dice rolls 1's all the time.

Well, all missions have a chance of being night fighting now.

ChrisWWII wrote:I eventually realized that it was apparently one die I had been rolling that kept turning up 3s. My reaction was to take said die, and hurl it out the window of the 3rd floor of our student union. I then placed a Commissar model next to the rest of my dice pile. They immediately began performing much better.

after reading the link Tactica gave, I see now it's "no models on the board". I missread the rules in the BGB so now I am not sure now.

Guess you will have to put at least one unit on the board.

Ditto for my IA8 Elysians. Required an entire rewrite.
I now have a couple squads of forward observers to guide the reserves in on turn 2. There gonna have trouble staying alive though, since cover is only 5+ +1 for a 4+.

Ironically though, an all Drop Pod force would still work... for what that's worth. :/

Find some ruins, or an aegis defense line those both have a 4+cover save built in.

Well they can do a hybrid DoA with static gunline on the board, but alas, pure DoA is dead for the most part.

I do not think that is accurate, but I covered in more detail why in your other thread.

Jumpers + Devs or rifle dreads was always a more effective army. But pure DoA was more fun.

Wait , since it says that if you have no units left that should mean that you would be allowed to since in idea you have troops left they just are not deployed
But this may make my Armie some what obsilete which i run a Full Chimera Armie taht includes all mountedd troops , will it still work ? perhaps but who knows

A new day, a new time zone.

You should probably crack the rulebook and read the actual rule.

"-Nonsense, the Inquisitor and his retinue are our hounoured guests, of course we should invite them to celebrate Four-armed Emperor-day with us..."
Thought for the Day - Never use the powerfist hand to wipe.
