So I just started LOTR and am really enjoying it so far (love how simple it is).

I had a question about multiple fights that I was hoping I could get cleared up.

My Knight of Minas Tirith (only 1 in this case) charged a group of Haradrim Warriors, so he gets +1 attack for charging. Then another group of Haradrim Warriors charged the Knight in his rear (the group that the Knight charged is in front). Now if the Knight wins the fight, do all models get knocked down to the ground and move back (as in all units around him) or just the ones he charged?

Also, let's say the board looked like this (assume they are in base combat):

X=Knight
O=Enemies

X
oo oo

Is this two separate fights since the two groups of enemies aren't touching bases or all just one fight (in which case its 4 attacks against 1)? If it is two separate fights, if the group on the left wins and the Knight is knocked back, does that mean the group on the right can't fight the Knight since he's no longer based?

Now a question about shooting-if only 4/6 guys in a group can see one enemy group to shoot, but the 2 guys that can't see that group can see another group, can those 2 shoot the group they can see and the others shoot a different group or must they all target the same one?

I'm having a little trouble understanding the first question. Is this the Strategy Battle Game? I don't know WotR rules.

Since the knight charged and is locked with infantry first, even if he is charged by infantry afterwards, the cavalry gets the bonuses. And all of the opponents are knocked to the ground if the knight wins.

In the second case, since LotR SBG has no units, each model fires individually. You could roll one by one or group them for shots to save time like you are doing. The 2 models can pick a new target, no problem.

Yes, its the SBG, I don't play War of the Ring.

Thanks for clearing up some of these questions. So the Knight knocks everyone down even if he's charged later, as long as he charged first. That's pretty nasty.

Also glad to hear I was playing properly and that I can assign targets when shooting.

Any ideas about my second question in relation to the diagram and whether or not all based units attack at once as part of one fight or if its separate fights?

Glad I could help. I'm still trying to understand the diagram. Assuming that the o's from the right are moving around to contact your x, the knight, then all 4 Haradrim are in base contact with their enemy. That means its 1 multi-combat where 4 Haradrim fight the lone Knight. Your guys don't need to be in base contact with each other if that is what you are asking. They are in base contact with an enemy, that is how a fight is determined. After the Haradrim move phase where all 4 become locked into that combat, it is one fight. The fight is then resolved later in the fight phase.
