... and it's about 'that time'. Y'know, that time when one's judgement is impaired, with disastrous consequences for taste and decency. Sure it's a weeknight, but who doesn't love a few beers (other intoxicants are available) on a weeknight?

Anyhow, when under the influence, I tend to wheel out some pretty appalling tunes - music that I would be ashamed to be caught listening to. That's right folks, I'm talking 'Guilty Pleasures'. I'll show you mine, you show me yours. Sober as a judge? Crack a few beers and get stuck in!

I can't explain it, but I love this song. It's a tremendous pop tour-de-force, but frankly I wouldn't be caught on a kidney machine listening to this:

I have a degree in music!

My guilty pleasures?

80s popular music, both hair "metal" and synth-laden dreck like this:

ALL I KNOW IS THAT TO ME, YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE HAVIN' FUN, OPEN UP YOUR LOVIN' ARMS WATCH OUT HERE I COME

EDIT: MGS, I actually almost posted Duran Duran, but then decided Dead or Alive is even more embarrassing.

These are the kinds of songs that are tons of fun at Karaoke after about four Jack and Cokes and a couple of beers.

I had this awesome mashup in my head of that and another terrible 80's pop song the other day, totally blanked on what the other one was now.

God this video is awful.

And this one. Not sure if this counts since I'm not terribly guilty about it.

I do with that chap wouldn't talk all over this song. He totally ruins the bits he talks over.

Rhianna can fething sing at least.. that new Coldplay with her in is fething quality. Better than any song she ever wrote anyway!

I like all sorts of stuff, I am sure most of you would put it on the "guilty pleasure" list because your all trendy fethers, but with me I seem to be in love with the 90s because Im a miserable fether and I dont seem to like very much since I hit about 25.

Here is some of the gak I routinely listen to, that I am sure you lot will find truly awful...

Looks like a smack head.

Aggressively homosexual.

Pasty toothless scrubbers.

I also like Snoop Doggy Doggs first album, Jamairoquai, the truly epic Big Country and Sum 41.

feth me.. You might as well argue that syphilis is better than gonorrhoea.

And Im no trendy, I can get away with everything else in this thread, even LMFAO and Britney.. but Owl city, and Kesha... those fethers make me throw my radio out of the window.

I would say I agree with you, simply because I could at least shag Kesha after I killed her and she was still a bit warm... where as that Owl city guy, I would just have to bludgeon him to death and then have a spank or something.
