We all know if Lemartes takes an unsaved wound he become Str 5 with 5 attacks right? This alone makes him a formidable foe even at 150pts, but now that the BA FAQ came out he is ruled to have a MC Power Maul which gives him an added +2 Str and now with the new Rage rule being +2 to attacks on the charge and +1 St for FC, meaning now that after Lemartes takes a wound and charges a unit he will have, count them, 8 attacks at Str 8 Ap 4 I6 with rerolling hits and wounds... This guy just became even more of a CC monster, make him challenge basically anything T4 or less and he is garanteed to bash his opponet...
Do you think this is a little OP? or has my math skills become rusty?

The thing about front to back wound allocation is that it's harder to just take one wound on a character without killing him.

Lemartes is a unit upgrade, not an Independent Character. He can't Challenge or be Challenged.
However, a TH/SS unit will insta-kill him on his first failed save since he is not Eternal either.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

well i got cheated two days ago...
i was using a reclusiarch with crosius arcanum, and someone said i hit at I1 now.

That does sound like it is your fault, but Lemartes is a character upgrade for a unit of DC meaning he can be singled out for challenges.

who cares who's fault it is? still happened. even still, going from no armor saves to ap4 is a huge nerf, so i'm still right. i would get 5 attacks with a reclusiarch on the charge that would lead to 2-3 hits and 1-2 instant wounds on anything with no invul. now anything better than expendable horde type units get a save.
i don't own the book yet so i was depending on others to help me out while we all learned.

There is going to be alot of those feelings for the next 2-4 weeks, until we get games in and work our way through the new rules. Take it as a learning experience and next time you can show him the book.

Yeah, hitting at S6 is pretty sweet. You know who got boned? Anything with a Relic Blade. The whole "AP3" thing is really a bummer.

The whole different APs for different weapons is a bummer. I think it would make sense if the actual fluff of power weapons wasn't what it is now.

DC Tycho is better now too. 6 attacks on the charge at WS7, S5, I5 and still ignore armor saves due to Dead Man's Hand. 2+/4++ and while he doesn't have the speed of Lemartes, he does have Fleet and Relentless, so he can either run to make up for his lack of jump pack, or he can shoot you up and THEN kick your butt in CC.
