-Is the game fun, and by fun, I mean exciting, forgiving and well balanced ?
Immense amounts of fun. It's exciting, well balanced but not terribly forgiving. Stuff dies, and dies a lot. It's rare to see an actual tabling of anyone without the other army suffering massive casualties as well. The bloody nature of the game is what makes it fun though.
-Is there room for a lot of variety in the game, or are lists rigidly and easily labelled and competitive, semi-competitve, and trash depending of their build.
Lots of variety and strategy. There are about a dozen basic mission objectives so it's not always just about killing the other guys. Depending on what faction and sub-faction you choose you can have quite diverse lists and still be competitive. There aren't that many units that truly suck, but some are better than others.
-Is the game easy to learn and play compared to games like WHFB, WM/H, and Infinity ? (Currently playing Kings of War)
Immensely easy to learn and play. Games are very fast once you get the hang of the turn sequence (alternating squad activations) and book keeping required (counters used for all of it).
-Is it easy to start and how long is it to make a standard list ? (I mean, do I have to get bankrupt or buy things one by one during 10 years to be able to play a standard game ?)
Very easy to start, with an entry level "Starter box running you around $50 and being enough to play lower point games. As long as sides are balanced in points there's no bad levels of play. The average tournament lists seem to be 750 points which is roughly $120 or so for my Dragyri Air Caste army.
