So p. 80 of the BRB lists what happens to a unit embarked on a transport vehicle when it suffers a roll on the damage chart.

Do these effects (like being barred from shooting in the next shooting phase from Crew Stunned) persist beyond the vehicle? If my Venom gets glanced and then penetrated (thus wrecking automatically by stripping both its hullpoints), and a 3 is rolled, do my warriors inside get to shoot next shooting phase now that they've been forced to disembark and are no longer in the vehicle?

I don't see why status effects like that would be lost. If they were stunned through the next turn, having to disembark a vehicle that just got wrecked wouldn't be much of a cure.

It says passengers can not shoot in their next shooting phase...

I think this could be interpreted in 2 ways.

1: whatever passengers (not necessarily the ones in the vehicle when it gets stunned) in the vehicle during the next shooting phase cant shoot.

2: the current passengers in the vehicle, no matter where they go, cant shoot in the next shooting phase.

I lean towards 2, because if you wreck/explode the transport, it says you can assault the now disembarked passengers--they are not passengers if they are disembarked, unless 'passengers' stick to the unit even after getting out of the vehicle. This seems to indicate that 'passengers' means the specific unit in the vehicle at the time of the damage, not just generic passengers in a vehicle.
