The Fallen Realm of Umbar

Since in the blood knight entry in the VC bestiary, there is mention of Blood Knights that are solitary duellists, so I thought I would have a try at making rules for them.

WS: 9 BS: 0 S:5 T:4 W:2 I:6 A:4 Ld:7 Cost: 100 points
They are a hero choice for a Vampire Counts army. Remember that as they are not a wizard, they cannot be your general.

Equipment: Hand Weapon, Heavy Armour

Special Rules: Frenzy, Honour Calls, The Hunger, Vampiric, Undead

Honour Calls: Blood Knight Duellists have the Dreadknight vampiric power in addition to any other options they take, with the WS bonus already included in their profile

Options:
Shield: 2 points

Additional Hand Weapon: 3 points

Great Weapon: 8 points

Lance (if mounted): 8 points

Barded Knightmare: 16 points

Hellstead: 30 points

May take up to 50 points of Magic Items from the Common and Vampire Counts magic item lists

May take up to 50 points of Vampric Powers from the Vampric Powers list (but not Dreadknight, as they already have it)

It seems easy enough to make a Blood Knight duellist out of the normal Vampire rules though.

It also seems a bit odd for them to be just as skilled in weapons as a Blood Dragon Vampire Lord to be honest. 9 is probably pushing it.

Just seems redundant overall. You can already make a Vampire hero with dread knight and such, and all Vampires have an instinctual ability to raise the dead and so are level 1 wizards (except Konrad who is just too stupid/insane to use his natural abilities).

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.
