When I started marines I made a chapter of my own, after considering quite a while of making them crimson fists, but when I started to look into Kantor I started to consider Crimson Fists again. I bought him but renamed him to use as my own chapter master. Now I want to repaint my army so that Pedro will be Pedro. And now I'd like to know what colors might be best to use and such.

So. First what blue should I use as the base color for the blue parts?

What would be the best red for the gloves?

And fluffwise, scouts have their left glove red and veterans have both but how about them ordinary tactical marines and such?

Any other tips?

Thank you for all the answers in advance.

ermm... idk... i hear different stories...
some say only initiates have only their right hand in crimson, other stories say only veterans have both hands red...
anyway its not limited to only tactical marines but it goes for all

so go with it as you like..

As far as I am aware, Crimson Fist marines had their right hand painted in the typical red colour. I'd just do it the way that you want it, paint vets with both fists painted, or one fist and the helmet etc as long as it is uniform across the different types of marines you will be fine.

As for the actually paint colours that you will use, the old GW colour was something like Red Gore, or Scab red, but I think the new one is Khorne Red.

And do to the blue, I would start with whatever is Regal blue, then doing a 50/50 blue/black wash.

Another thought is that GW did have paint cards that suggested colours when they released the new paint line, they may have had a crimson fist one, so duck in and ask?

Went to buy some paints and checked to different kind of blue ones and found Kantor Blue. I think that's what I should use. Bought some of it but didn't try it yet.
