So quick question, pretty sure I put this in the correct area....The zoanthrope has a 5+ save with a 3+ invul save. Does the invul save work in close combat? In the codex it states nothing more then it has an invul save of 3+. The only segment that has me question it is the description of the warp field saying it bounces small arms and heavy weapons off of the barrier. I know with a lot of the GW rules you have to be VERY literal on what they say. So can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

The invul will always be better than the armour save. There are a very few things that negate/destroy invulnerable saves though. Does seem kind of pointless giving them a 5+ armour.

It says it has a 3++, it has a 3++. Unless they directly say that you only take it outside of the Assault Phase, then it stays.

It has the 5+ save in the event that there is a weapon which you couldn't take invulnerable saves. The old psycannons were like that if remember correctly.
