Would the mentioned squad fluff wise be something the GK's shun from being allied with or accept with some reluctance?

Why would they shun them? GK are allies of conveniance with all imperials anyway. Or do you meen the GK having a problem with sneakyness? why would they, they are literaly the military arm of the inquisition, the sneakiest organisation of the imperium, they are more myth shrouded than the astartes. Plus they have a sniper unit themselves already

I can't see why Grey Knights wouldn't work with Scouts from a regular Astartes Chapter - afterall the Scouts can do things the Grey Knights can't, so what would be wrong with having reconnaissance troops scouting out the enemy or sowing chaos in their ranks by killing off their leaders with their long-range precision made marksman weapons prior to the Grey Knight assault?

The GKs will work with their fellow Astartes if they need to or the opprotunity presents itself. This extends to Initiates.

The fact that GKs only have Allies of Convenience represents their alloofness and complete secrecy of their organization. They simply can't form a stable friendship because, for them, no one is above suspicion of taint.

I agree with the above regarding Grey Knight / Inquisition's mistrust and that being a good reason for Allies of Convenience at best.

Also worth noting: the Exorcists are an alleged successor chapter to the Grey Knights and run three companies of scouts instead of the normal one. I'm about to pull in an allied detachment to my own Grey Knight force consisting of mostly scouts. Totally works with the fluff.

Is it a Space Marine Scout-squad?

Or IG-scouts?

Since I'm unsure as the Grey Knights seem to vary alot in their methods I would suggest rolling a dice if you can't come to an agreement. 1 = Intensive mindwipe/executions immediately after the battle, 6 = Scotfree. It's my interpretation but it's a gray area, and it's sort of the best advice I can give.

of course people with more knowledge about the Grey Knights might have a different opinion and if sensible I would defer to them.

If you have nothing nice to say then say frakking nothing.

The Exorcists have so many scouts due to the number that either die or have to be killed during their possession, due to this I would say that most Exorcist couts had not undergone the ritual yet so may not be deployed alongsie Grey Knights (they don't want tactical info being directly given to a deamon).

Reconnaissance, precision, tactics? Hah! The only Ordo of Ward's Grey Knights need not such trivial concepts to annihilate and humiliate any force in the galaxy.
