remember they are also Concussive, same as a thunderhammer, so are nice against Vehicles

yup forgot that. They are going to be fun against nonmeqs going to have crusaders allied with mauls and axes should be pretty durable.

Well since I already have my Army commander, Chaplain, and one Sgt armed (modeled) with them, it's a nice bonus. Plus they get Concussive which drops enemy models (with multiple wounds) to I1.

As far as I can tell Concussive only causes a drop in Initiative to 1 on models..

How does this affect vehicles at all? It seems like the "auto glance" from thunder hammers has been removed entirely.

Aside from now being AP2 (+1 vehicle dmg chart), thunder hammers have no other added bonuses vs vehicles, much less do power mauls at AP4, no?

Yeah and that would make them axes with the int drop but they give +2 int so which comes first?

All unusual force weapons are AP 3 with their special rules. It is a specific game term located on page 60.

They are not Force Axes, they are Unusual Force Weapons.
